Hello!
Life takes many interesting turns, doesn’t it? Like when you take a new job that has you move to a new state or country even. It takes courage to start anew, to take on new challenges and clear out of our comfort zone. Buying your first home (or second…) can be just that experience — scary, but so rewarding!
I am a relative newcomer to New Mexico. Never thought of settling in the desert of all places. (I’m an ocean girl, aren’t I?) And yet — here I am, and loving it! I live with my adventurous husband in a sweet house along the Animas River in Aztec. Cows and horses are nearby and from our riverside perch, sipping our morning coffee, we can watch herons nest in the cottonwoods across the river. I’m surprised by the seasons, the snow, the wind, and the big bright skies. In this new landscape, I’m exploring and discovering the beauty of the place and the community.
I am also new to Real Estate. Who knew I would venture into a new career? A year ago, I thought I was retired and traveling, living on a sailboat… This last year was certainly atypical and like many people, I found myself wanting to do something more. And so I am! I am so happy to be working with a dedicated team at R1 New Mexico in Farmington, helping people with their Real Estate goals. All the while, still traveling part-time on my sailboat. (now that’s remote work!)
I’m writing this blog to share my discoveries with you about neighborhoods and real estate, about local businesses and hidden gems, about the community and this place I now call home. Thanks for reading! I welcome your comments, and questions. *Subscription coming soon
Here’s to the good life-
